Marino confirmed as Jacobsen and Covena join Intermoto Ponyexpres

Intermoto Ponyexpres Kawasaki will again set off for the FIM Supersport World Championship next season with three official riders. After previous talks and another test which the team took part in last week at MotorLand Aragon, the team has made official the line-up for 2014.

Florian Marino was the first pick thanks to his engagement in the 2013 season, firstly in a position of a substitute of David Salom and later as One Event rider. Marino is still recovering from his hand injury so he didn´t participate in the two previous tests, but he will be ready to ride the Kawasaki bike again once the winter testing ban will draw to a close.

Patrick "PJ" Jacobsen will also race for the Czech squad after a season spent in the British Superbike championship and a 9th place in the standings. The American rider, with his lap-times in the two tests, proved that to be ready to fight up front in the series.

Tony Covena will step up from the European Superstock 600 Championship to complete the riders line-up for the team. During the two-day test in Aragon the Dutchman showed a lot of progress and time spent on the track boosted his performance and confidence onboard the team's ZX-6R.

The team has chosen to bet on three talented young riders and, after two years with Kawasaki bikes and two final fourth place finishes in the standings, will be aiming for even greater results.
